The photos in this folder are as follows:
"Big Foot" Wallace individual copy print photo, circa 1847. "Big Foot" Wallace group large cabinet card photo, with John Haughawout, and J. M. Patterson, circa 1873. Also includes a large and small copy print photo of this photo. The small one was made by Andre Studio, Lexington, Virginia. George Slough wearing a hunting bag and horn which were taken from an Indian by "Big Foot" Wallace, snapshot photo, circa 1955.

William Alexander Anderson "Bigfoot" Wallace (1817–1899) was a famous Texas Ranger, soldier, and frontier folk hero. Born in Lexington, Virginia, he moved to Texas in 1837 after his brother and cousin died in the 1836 Goliad Massacre. He fought in the Texan-Mexican conflicts, the Somervell and Mier Expeditions, and the Mexican-American War. Gained the nickname "Bigfoot" after an Indian tracker misidentified his distinctive large moccasin tracks in Austin. A town in Frio County, Texas, was named Bigfoot in his honor. He is buried in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin.
