Your dispatch of 6. A. m. has been recd. I have sent a scouting party down the road you are on for the purpose of communicating with you. The party has taken 2 prisoners who report back of a regt. In rifle [?] in the wood. I have ordered a force to the wood for the purpose of clearing it.
