Corbyn's Farm

My dear Captain,

I regret to heat of the continued delicate health of Mrs. B. & child. Joseph Morrison has gone home to see his mother who is seriously ill. Capt. Avery had also gone on leave of absence of 25 days.

Genl. Hill has been assigned to duty in N.C.

Mr. Irwin & Sis with their children were at Cottage Home at last account. I hope that they will be there when Anna & Paul arrive there.

Should you come near me. I hope that you will not pass by without calling.

P.S. Genl. Stuart has arrived since the foregoing and he desires getting you appointed on His Military Court of which he has the promise. Say nothing about this, as the court is not yet secured.
