General,
My prayer is that the proposed undertaking will receive God's blessing for without it I can do nothing.
Should you be able to grant my request, you may rest assured that I will not retain the Colonel longer than necessary and should you desire his services at any time before the completion of his work, you have but to notify me.
I send herewith authority for him to impress horses.
