French dramatic soprano, born Marie-Cornélie Falcon (1814-1897), best known for her unique vocal range, halfway between soprano and mezzo, which is now also known as a Falcon soprano. Portrait engraved by Benoit after Lacauchie, labeled "Galerie Theatrale" and numbered PL 22.
