This subseries contains materials related to Buchanan's education, mostly from his PhD study at the University of Chicago. Some materials appear to be compiled by a person other than Buchanan, since they predate his study at the University of Chicago. Types of materials include study notes, essays, syllabi, and research notes. This subseries includes notes from classes taught by Frank H. Knight and Milton Friedman.
