Vernon Walker, who was hired by Robert E. Simon as director of the Reston Nature Center, discusses the growth and development of Reston, Virginia. Citizens committees and cluster groups accomplished many of the common land projects proposed by Walder. He established student internships as a means to combine the desires of the residents with the overall Simon Plan. There is a discussion of the changes within the community brought about the continued growth of the town.
