Recording of WRVA's 35th Anniversary program. Hosted by Robert Beadles, this program includes the following speeches and music: the Acca Temple Shrine Chanters, directed by Alton Howell, singing "The Winter Song"; greetings from Claude W. Woodward, the Mayor of Richmond, who participated in the inaugural broadcast as a member of the Acca Temple Shrine Chanters; Joseph I. Maust singing "My Wild Irish Rose"; C. T. Lucy, general manager of WRVA, speaking about his thirty-five years service with WRVA and the development of the radio station; William T. Reed, Jr., president of Larus and Brother Company, quoting the remarks his father made on the inaugural broadcast; Holland R. Wilkinson, Charlie Wakefield, and Harold Lawrence, accompanied by Bertha Hewlett on the organ, singing "Have Thine Own Way"; Mrs. Henry P. Garber singing the same song she sung on the inaugural broadcast, "Lack a Rose"; the Sabbath Glee Club, directed by Maurice Williams and including some of the same singers who participated in the inaugural broadcast, singing "Swing Low Sweet Chariot"; Reverend W. Taliaferro Thompson giving a prayer of dedication similar to the one he delivered on the inaugural program; and the Acca Temple Shrine Chanters closing the program by singing "Carry Me Back to Ol' Virginny."
