Lon Backman, WRVA broadcaster, interviews some of WRVA's Old Timers - J. Robert (Bob) Beadles, Bertha Hewlett, Walter Bishop, and C. T. Lucy. Bob Beadles discusses his long service with WRVA, the early days of the radio station, and his involvement with the Corn Cob Pipe Club. Bertha Hewlett discusses the various jobs she has held during her long service with WRVA. Walter Bishop discusses WRVA's political coverage and news broadcasts, and expresses his opinion on the 1960 presidential election. C. T. Lucy talks about the beginning of WRVA and his work as an announcer for special events during the station's early years. These recordings contain heavy static.
