WRVA 30th Anniversary Party, recorded live in Richmond on 2 November 1955, from the WRVA Theatre. Galen Drake is the host of the event. Included in the festivities is the crowning of Mrs. WRVA by Walter R. Bishop, and contests for free radios, and for couples celebrating their 30th wedding anniversaries, and a baby sweepstakes by Alden Aaroe with the winner announced by C. T. Lucy. There is also a recording by Amos n Andy congratulating the station. Musical performances include "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Sometimes I'm Happy," "Almost Like Being in Love," "Over the Rainbow," and "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." The Acca Temple Shrine Chanters also perform, including their rendition of "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny."
