Recording of the Honors Convocation at the College of William and Mary on 2 April 1948. The ceremony was dedicated to American-Canadian friendship and includes speeches from Governor William M. Tuck, Prime Minister of Canada Mackenzie King, Governor-General of Canada Viscount Alexander of Tunis, and President Harry S. Truman. Each of these speakers received an honorary degree. Viscount Alexander delivered the principal address. Alden Aaroe, John Tansey, and Walter Bishop reported on the event for WRVA.
