Scope and content:

Website of the George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee (GWBCC). The George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee was formed in 1976 to "organize and carry out the City's annual celebration [of Washington's birthday]." Throughout the month of February each year, there are many events hosted in Alexandria, Virginia which celebrate the anniversary of George Washington's birthday, including an annual parade through Old Town Alexandria that is organized by the GWBCC
