In 1891 he went to Fairmont to manage a branch office for the firm Munsch \u0026 Huemme which became Munsch, Huemme  \u0026 Lyons in 1894, with offices in Pittsburgh and Fairmont.  After Huemme left the practice and Munsch died, Lyons established his own office in Fairmont and eventually a branch in Elkins.  Around 1902 his firm became Lyons \u0026 Tibbets when John D. Tibbets joined him.","Lyons was the primary architect during Fairmont's immense growth in the early 20th century when the town turned from a sleepy community to a bustling coal industry commercial center. In 1891 he went to Fairmont to manage a branch office for the firm Munsch \u0026amp; Huemme which became Munsch, Huemme  \u0026amp; Lyons in 1894, with offices in Pittsburgh and Fairmont.  After Huemme left the practice and Munsch died, Lyons established his own office in Fairmont and eventually a branch in Elkins.  Around 1902 his firm became Lyons \u0026amp; Tibbets when John D. After graduating from high school, he studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy for the Fine Arts, then at American University. Miller was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to travel to Paris, France and further his art studies. Upon returning to the United States, he began to teach art and also pursued a Master of Fine Arts at Columbia University. Miller had a prestigious career painting, teaching, and exhibiting; he was also a professional singer and actor. He married Theresa Robinson in 1957.
