James Somerville was an influential merchant and became the mayor of Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1787. It is one of the oldest high schools and football programs in the state. Their sports teams are known as the \"Blue Eagles,\" and formerly the \"Blue Blizzard.\" Warren Witschey, the compiler of these materials, is a 1957 graduate of Magnolia and resident of New Martinsville.","This collection comprises research done on former students, football teams, and athletics department accomplishments of Magnolia High School (MHS) in New Martinsville, West Virginia. The research was conducted by Warren Witschey, an MHS graduate.
