After working as Assistant Director of\n         Research for the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce in\n         Richmond (1938-1942), Ritz served in the European Theater\n         during World War II (1942-1946) as a member of the U.S. Army\n         Ninth Air Corps, rising to the rank of technical sergeant.","During another stint with the Virginia State Chamber of\n         Commerce-this time (1946-1950) as Industrial Director-- Ritz\n         attended the University of Richmond Law School, earning his\n         L.L.B. degree in 1950.
