Paschall graduated from William and Mary in 1932 with a degree in history. While a student his activities including serving as treasurer of the Clayton-Grimes Biological Club (founded in 1921) in 1930-1931. (1931 Colonial Echo) He earned master's degrees in history and government from William and Mary as well, and completed a doctorate in education at the University of Virginia. Upon enlisting in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he trained at the Virginia Military Institute and the Naval School of Communications at Harvard.","After the war, Paschall served as principal of the high school in Victoria, Virginia, and held a position in the state Department of Education, directing teacher education programs. In 1957, Gov. Thomas B. Stanley appointed Paschall State Superintendent of Public Instruction in Virginia. He served from September 1, 1971 until January 9, 1985. Upon his resignation George R. Healy acted as interim president until Paul R. Verkuil assumed the role of president on July 1, 1985.","Graves graduated from Yale University in 1947 with a bachelor's degree in economics, after suspending his studies after his freshman year to serve in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then went on to Harvard University, completing a master's in business administration in 1949 and a doctorate in 1958.","From 1950 to 1960, Graves held a faculty position at the Harvard business school. In 1960, he moved to Lausanne, Switzerland to become the director of the IMEDE Management Deveopment Institute. He was named the associate dean of the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University in 1964, and also served as the director of Stanford's International Center for the Advancement of Management Education. Graves returned to Harvard from 1967 to 1971 as the associate dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration.","Graves served on advisory boards for a variety of schools and businesses, including Transylania University, Clark University, Reynolds Metals Company, and Life Insurance Company of Virginia. Dalton was Commonwealth's Attorney for Radford, Virginia and state senator from 1944-1960. He was the Republican Party candidate for governor in 1953 and 1957. Dalton was appointed federal judge for the Western District of Virginia. His adopted son was John N. Dalton who served as governor of Virginia. Ted Dalton died 30 October 1989. Dalton was Commonwealth's Attorney for Radford, Virginia and state senator from 1944-1960. He was the Republican Party candidate for governor in 1953 and 1957. Dalton was appointed federal judge for the Western District of Virginia. His adopted son was John N. Dalton who served as governor of Virginia. Ted Dalton died 30 October 1989.
