Hall subsequently gave these documents to Mary B. Kegley","The Papers consist of three letters written by attorney David S. Pierce seeking reimbursements for debts owed by Stuart and Palmer, Inc. and Holston Salt and Plaster Company.  In two letters, dated 3 December 1877 and 29 December 1877, Pierce exhorts George W. Palmer to send him funds.  Pierce writes his uncle [unknown] in a 29 December 1877 letter that unless he receives funds to cover debts owed by Stuart and Palmer my personal property will be sold at sacrifice.
